Predictably, the Christmas Season also signals the greatest amount of retail spending by metro Vancouverites, at least according to a retail trade survey compiled by Statistics Canada. According to the data, Vancouverites spent $2,640,188,000 in December of 2010 alone. February is typically the month of least consumer spending, with a mere $1,884,173,000 recorded.
Just for the record, that December spending is the equivalent of 704,050,133 cartons of eggnog.
