Only a few kilometres east of the Second Narrows Bridge, nestled in the lush forest, (though its exact location will remain a mystery, to prevent its destruction by the city) is the Bates Park treehouse. The identity of its builders (and rebuilders - the structure has been vandalized and reconstructed several times) remains unknown, and it is covered in the autographs and etchings of dozens of visitors.

Its floorboards, which once contained the phrase “Chateau Rape”, have been stripped bare in some areas, though other visitors have left notes, trinkets, and, in one case, two sequined sombreros.
