According to a survey released by a coalition of prominent B.C. police officers, health professionals and legal experts, the vast majority of British Columbians would like to see changes to the existing marijuana laws. The Stop the Violence coalition is seeking a change to marijuana laws, claiming that cannabis’ illegal status promotes gang violence while failing in its mandate to curb use.
