According to data gathered by Vancouver Coastal Health, the city’s supervised injection site hosted more than 800 visitors per day in 2010 – a total of 12,236 individuals between January and December. The maximum number of visits recorded in a single day was 1,110, and of the 221 recorded overdoses in that year, not a single fatality occurred.
