An electrician appears to have exploded himself in Kamloops following a six-hour standoff after he took his ex-girlfriend hostage, CBC reports. The woman was ultimately released unharmed, but shortly afterwards several explosions ripped through the house, setting it ablaze. Police found two other bombs rigged in the man’s vehicle.
