Christy Clark hints that lowering taxes will be a priority for her “families first” government. A risky move, because nobody likes lower taxes.

Over 300 people showed up to the first public hearing on the downtown mega-casino, including a large contingent of casino-workers and union employees sporting shirts that read “Save Our Jobs”. Seems disingenuous, considering the existing Edgewater Casino has a lease that runs until at least 2013. I guess “Create More Jobs” doesn’t quite have the same ring.

NDP leadership hopeful Adrian Dix argues that post secondary education costs are too high, and says he will create $100-million a year grant program to assist students with the burden.

Seven years later, Todd Bertuzzi will see his day in court, facing a $20-million lawsuit for his infamous “hit” on Steve Moore.
